Tips on Interior and Exterior Car Detailing
When it comes to washing a car, every eight out of ten car owners avoid t since it is a time consuming activity and leaves ones fatigued. if you are the one who loves doing things on your own and rejoice seeing your efforts come to fruition, these tips on interior and exterior car detailing are for you.
Start with the interior first
Inside the car there may be areas that are neglected due to limited space. However, you do not want to do this. For a good interior clean, you want to start off by cleaning the seats with a damp sponge. This will get rid of any surface-hanging stains and crumbs. Once you’ve done that, do the same to the centre console and area between the seat track to get rid of dust and dirt. For the plastic areas, a pumice block is ideal. It can also be used for removing pet hair from the floor mat. Something to note though is that rough over-usage can result in scratch marks.
Cleaning the car exterior
You want to begin the process by washing the upper portion of the car exterior with water along with a light detergent. This should wash away any of the surface debris such as accumulated dust and dirt. For the windows, you want to use two separate towels. Using one increases the risk of leaving residue on the windows, which might lead to scratch marks. For the roof, a simple utility towel will do.
In order to clean the lower portion of the car’s exterior (like the exhausts, chrome and wheel), first rinse them with soapy water and then spray liquid wax. There will naturally be areas that the spray will not get to. The solution to this is simply to turn the direction of the wheels to open up these areas to the spray.
